Most, if not all of the Sommerfeld Mennonite Churches in Manitoba will be open for worship service on Sunday June 21. Certain limitations may be in effect. Service format and times may vary by location. Please check with your local church if you have questions.
Please Note: Prerecorded messages will no longer be published going forward from this date, however for anyone not attending a live service today, we intend to have the Morden service from today morning posted here sometime this afternoon.
MORDEN: In person worship service is scheduled for Morden at 10:00 am on June 21. Parents take note that Sunday School will be integrated as part of this morning’s worship service, because we plan on using the dining hall for additional seating, so we are compliant with provincial guidelines regarding physical distancing. Please do bring your children – families living in the same household do not need to be physically distanced (can sit together).
The question has been raised if individuals who are employed in the transportation industry or other workplaces that are considered “high risk” of exposure to COVID-19 are allowed to attend in person church services. We as church leadership feel it is not our responsibility to judge who can, or cannot participate. We simply ask that you respect the guidelines as set out by our public health authority. If you have knowingly been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, or you are feeling ill – please don’t put others at risk.
A few things to watch for when you come in, you will be seated in groups of 50. Ushers will be there to direct you, so please find a seat as soon as possible since we can’t have mingling in the foyer. We look forward to seeing you all again and Worshiping our AWESOME God together!
Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
